As Computer Science students and Impact Fellows from Lehigh University's Global Social Impact Fellowship program, we are committed to making the understanding of medical bills transparent and accessible to everyone. Alongside our founder, E.J. Rovella, we form a team of dedicated researchers and developers working to address disparities in healthcare billing through our application, HealthCost Unlocked. By combining our collective expertise and resources, we strive to empower patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their healthcare costs.
Our Mission
HealthCost Unlocked was created to help patients understand their medical bills and insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents. We believe that healthcare costs should be transparent and easy to understand, empowering you to make informed decisions about your healthcare.
What We Do
Our tool helps you break down complex medical bills and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements, understand how your insurance coverage affects your costs, calculate your actual financial responsibility, and identify any discrepancies between bills and insurance payments.
How It Works
Simply enter the details from your medical bill and your insurance EOB. Our tool will analyze the information and provide you with a clear breakdown of costs, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and your total responsibility. We'll also highlight any discrepancies that you may want to discuss with your healthcare provider or insurance company.
